Endeavor Not To Mangle Your Friend’s Car

By DuncanRhys C. Liancourt

Endeavor not to mangle your friend’s car,

Because to you both it will bring much fuss;

Keep it safe from your gate’s treacherous bar.

Though you’ve parked here without making a scar,

There may be dangers that you fail to suss;

Endeavor not to mangle your friend’s car.

Fret not if the night is lit by no star,

Lento, and vexation vent by a cuss.

Keep it safe from your gate’s treacherous bar.

With no space obtainable near or far,

Into your hands your friend places his trust;

Endeavor not to mangle your friend’s car.

Spurs of ice can harm only insofar

As you let them, and dirt will merely muss.

Keep it safe from your gate’s treacherous bar.

It would be tragedy were you to mar

A fine paint job with a scratch that will rust.

Endeavor not to mangle your friend’s car.

Keep it safe from your gate’s treacherous bar.
